Julius Holt was Arizona’s linebacker at the dawn of “The Streak” against ASU in 1982 and now, Holt has passed the torch over to his son Justin.
Only a sophomore, Justin was one of the defensive leaders on the Salpointe squad that won the school’s first state championship in football. Justin had 24 solo tackles and 46 total including six in the championship game over Scottsdale Chaparral.
Justin has been making the rounds with visits to several camps including Rivals, U.S. Army National Combine, Nike and underclassmen camps at Arizona, ASU, San Diego State and USC.
His next visit will be another trip to the Nike Football Training Camp on March 9 in Los Angeles. Depending on how Justin does, he could be invited to compete with the top 162 prospects at the fourth annual “The Opening” to be held from July 7-10 at the Nike World Headquarters in Beaverton, Oregon.
