Solomon Hill certainly has a good shot with the No. 1-seeded Pacers in the East. Andre Iguodala has a much tougher road in the West with Golden State opening against the L.A. Clippers.

Has Quincy Miller of Denver picked himself up yet after that nasty Iguodala crossover?

Paul George recently provided some encouragement to Hill, who has played in only 28 games and averaged 8.1 minutes in each.

The motto for the 2014-15 Arizona basketball team is appropriate and the Wildcats have the weapons to get the job done in Indianapolis next year despite losing Aaron Gordon and Nick Johnson.

Arizona lost its series opener to UCLA 8-0 last week in Tucson. Maybe the Wildcats can bounce back again and win the next two at USC after losing 1-0 last night in a classic pitcher’s duel.

Ka’Deem Carey has been criticized for his breakaway speed during the NFL scouting combine and other workouts, but at least one analyst knows that Carey can be unstoppable in short yardage and red-zone situations.

Woooooahhhh … This must eat at Rich Rodriguez. Sixth-best coach in the Pac-12? Behind ASU’s Todd Graham? Newcomer Chris Petersen No. 1? That should go to Stanford’s David Shaw in a runaway.
