Ironwood Ridge senior guard Piper Mali will play for Pima next year according to her family and Nighthawk coach Nikki Simpson.

“Last night a huge weight was lifted off my shoulders,” wrote her mother Keeley Mali.” After many oppositions but with tons of hard work and perseverance my amazing daughter accepted a scholarship to be a Pima Aztec basketball player!”

Piper is averaging over seven points a game for the Nighthawks and will help lead the team during the NW Desert Classic over the winter break.

“She is excited and honored to be coached by Todd Holthaus and to be part of an amazing team for the next two yrs. This is the beginning of many possibilities and a very bright future. I am confident she made the right choice,” Kelley Mali added.
