Tucson High standout Alondra Leon commits to Pima

Pima assistant coach Chris Klassen reports Tucson High standout Alondra Leon has committed to play for Pima. Leon transferred from Nogales to Tucson High where she is averaging almost seven points a game for the Badgers.

Alondra’s father Jorge Leon played for Ray Molera at Nogales and won back-to-back state championships in 1982 and 1983 before playing for Pima, New Mexico Highlands and then a dozen years professionally in Mexico.

Andy Morales was recognized by the AIA as the top high school reporter in 2014 and has been a youth, high school and college coach for over 30 years. His own children have won multiple state high school championships and were named to all-state teams.
