Ironwood Ridge senior Anthony Marshall will be playing basketball at Aurora University in Illinois.

“Anthony being my oldest, it’s very important he continues his education beyond high school in order to be as successful as possible in life,” said his mom Lisa Marshall. “I am very proud he has chosen to attend Aurora University where he will continue his education and also be part of their basketball program.”

“Anthony started playing basketball at age three in a YMCA program and, as a young guy, he dreamed of playing high school basketball, college basketball and someday the Pros,” his father Steve Marshall added.

“He worked very hard and accomplished his first dream by being a starter since his sophomore year on varsity and is taking the next step of playing college basketball. We love you Anthony very much and believe in you and hope you know just how special you are to your parents, your brother, your family and anyone whom has ever met you.”

Marshall averaged 9.5 points a game for Ironwood Ridge and led the team in assists.

“We believe Anthony is the kind of player that will develop and help grow our program,” said coach Lance Robinson. “Anthony liked our system and style of play especially for our point guards. With his dedication and hard work he will have a bright future ahead of him.”
