It was not a good night for Southern Arizona in the Boy’s Volleyball state playoffs with Cienega, Tucson and Sahuaro failing to hold their seed. Rincon/University and Ironwood Ridge are the last two teams remaining and the Nighthawks needed five sets to get past Canyon del Oro.

The second round will take place Saturday with No. 9 Rincon/University traveling to No. 8 Phoenix Desert Vista and No. 10 Ironwood Ridge at No. 7 Glendale Ironwood.
