Mountain View & Salpointe win Pima Passing & Lineman tourney, Casey Carnaghi turning some heads

Mountain View defeated Catalina Foothills 27-21 to win the 7-on-7 Pima Passing tournament last weekend with Sahuaro and Phoenix Mountain Pointe rounding out the top four teams.

Salpointe won the lineman competition.

One of the stars of the camp was Sahuaro receiver Casey Carnaghi. Only a junior, Carnaghi has 13 schools showing interest in him including Cornell, Yale, Stanford, Utah, Washington State, NAU and Montana.

Carnaghi is set to visit at least six programs this summer.

The Rich Rodriguez Passing Camp and Big Man Challenge will take place this Friday. His Prospect Camp will be held Saturday, Junior Wildcat Camp on Sunday. The camp for junior college athletes will be held this Wednesday June, 3 with the Kicking Camp set for July 14.
