Tucson Summer Pro League (TSPL) for Kids

Texas Roadhouse improved to 5-0 on the season after the summer youth team defeated the Pascua Yaqui youth team on Saturday afternoon at the Gregory School. The two teams compete in the TSPL for Kids held every Saturday as part of the adult Tucson Summer Pro League run by former University of Arizona standout Corey Williams.

Six teams comprised of kids from the Tucson area have been competing since June 20 and the season will end on July 26.

Besides teams sponsored by Texas Roadhouse and Pascua Yaqui, Infiniti of Tucson, Roof Coating Specialists, Tucson Power and Watson Chevrolet also have teams in the league.

Pascua Yaqui kept things close early and only trailed 12-8 after the first period but Texas Roadhouse proved too much and slowly pulled away from there to win the game 42-18.

Juan Esquivias led Pascua Yaqui with 14 points but Texas Roadhouse had too many weapons including Eli Williams with 16 points, Randy Ferrell with 10 and Kamden Gambrell with six. Bryn Callie and Jamele Croom scored four points each to round out the scoring for Texas Roadhouse.

Joe Alvarez and Roemello Perkins also scored for Pascua Yaqui.
