Looking at Arizona’s roster, the player with the best opportunity to be drafted high next year, potentially in the first round, is senior forward Ryan Anderson.
The former third-team All-ACC pick at Boston College is rated one of the top 10 power forwards in the country by the Sporting News.
He is ranked No. 8 by longtime Sporting News college basketball writer Michael DeCourcy.

Anderson’s impact on Arizona’s program: His versatility and ability to create openings for center Kaleb Tarczewski and penetrating guards. Because of his activity around the lane and ability to create an effective shot, defenders will stay honest. His athleticism may also give him an advantage over more muscle-bound, stay-in-the-lane power forward defenders. He can extend away from the basket unclogging the lane.
By season’s end, if Anderson plays to his potential, he should not only be an All-Pac-12 pick but also a player of the year candidate in the conference. He can also become a member of Arizona’s All-Transfer team.
