You could see it coming but you never know how emotional a last goodbye can feel.
Arizona junior linebacker Scooby Wright, the school’s sixth unanimous All-American, fittingly played one of his best games Saturday before exiting the program.
Following Arizona’s 45-37 defeat of New Mexico in the Gildan New Mexico Bowl, he officially declared for the 2016 NFL Draft. Anthony Gimino of Tucson News Now broke the news first, quoting Wright’s father in a story immediately following the game.
“He’s betting on himself,” his father, Phil Wright told Gimino on Friday night about his son’s NFL plans.

Wright became emotional, holding back tears, after the game announcing that he was leaving.
“I feel like I’ve accomplished everything I have wanted to in college,” Wright said. “Now is the right time.”
He was pictured alone in the hallway outside of Arizona’s locker room a few minutes after his emotional interview, appearing to try to gather himself.
The winner of last year’s Bronko Nagurski Trophy, Rotary Lombardi Award and Chuck Bednarik Award feels he is ready for the next step.
Known as “Two-Star Scoob” from his Twitter handle (@TwoStarScoob), the overlooked recruit out of high school has proven himself to this point. Who can doubt him now?

Did the math, UA averages first-team All-American every 3.3 years from Arneson in '71 to Wright in '14. Could be couple years til another
